The study about "The Social and Labor Performance of Bayer S.A." is part of the "Social and Labor Performance of German Companies in Brazil" project that is supported by the Hans Böckler Foundation of Germany. The project is a study and comparison of three German-based companies in Brazil - Bayer, Bosch and ThyssenKrupp - from the perspective of the companies’ behavior in relation to basic labor rights and the environment.
This project supports work of the Social Observatory Europe, which is a cooperation between CUT (The Single Workers Center) the Social Observatory Institute, the German union center Deutsche Gewerkschaftsbund (DGB) and the Dutch union center Federatie Nederlandse Vakbeweging (FNV). The project includes studies and monitoring of social-labor behavior at the three German companies, as well as the three Dutch companies - Ahold, Philips and Unilever.
